It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who accept poor health and the inability to lose weight as an inevitable part of life.

The idea of having frequent colds or flu is often accepted as the “norm”, without a second thought given to popping a painkiller or allergy pill to get through the day.

These so-called "normal" and “to be expected” allergies, aches and weight loss problems are actually tell-tale signs that we need to clean up our act and do a detox cleanse.

#1 – Skin Problems

Our skin is our largest detox organ and its condition is an fantastic indicator of how toxic you are on the inside. If you suffer from dry skin, acne or skin rashes – chances are you’ll benefit from a body-cleanse diet.

#2 – Food Allergies

Having an allergic reaction to certain foods is often due to toxic overload of the small intestine and colon. After bombarding our gut with junk food, “bad” fats, too much salt and sugar, it becomes so damaged that allergy symptoms start to appear.

I’m not talking about the occasional night of disturbed sleep due to some external event. I’m referring to frequent substandard sleep patterns and insomnia eating away at our mental and physical wellbeing.

Good sleep hygiene is essential to health as it’s while we slumber that we cleanse the most. Skimping on or just not being able to sleep is a detox disaster and a good sign you should follow a cleaner lifestyle.

Once we realise our poor health is a result of poor choices and other options are available – we can start to change our day-to-day habits, adding in more detox friendly choices.

We need to change our mindset and style of living too if we are to prosper and achieve long lasting weight loss! I’m not talking about a 1–day or 10–day juice cleanse or the like.

I’m talking about a “daily detox” lifestyle change – transforming your life on a much deeper level. Once you make the shift you won’t recognise yourself and will wonder why you ever accepted poor health as inevitable.
