Why settle for "good" health when it can be "amazing"? Listen to your body's messages that cleaning up your act is a fantastic idea.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who accept poor health and the inability to lose weight as an inevitable part of life.
The idea of having frequent colds or flu is often accepted as the “norm”, without a second thought given to popping a painkiller or allergy pill to get through the day.
These so-called "normal" and “to be expected” allergies, aches and weight loss problems are actually tell-tale signs that we need to clean up our act and do a detox cleanse.
#1 – Skin Problems
Our skin is our largest detox organ and its condition is an fantastic indicator of how toxic you are on the inside. If you suffer from dry skin, acne or skin rashes – chances are you’ll benefit from a body-cleanse diet.
#2 – Food Allergies
Having an allergic reaction to certain foods is often due to toxic overload of the small intestine and colon. After bombarding our gut with junk food, “bad” fats, too much salt and sugar, it becomes so damaged that allergy symptoms start to appear.
Ditching these nasties along with a cleanse plan is the best solution to get back on the road to health, as well as weight loss success.

#3 – Constipation
Infrequent bowel movements and inability to lose weight are big signs that your colon has become toxic and in need of a detox.
The most common cause is a lack of fibre in the diet – upping the amount of high-fibre detox foods in your meals is such a simple way to alleviate this problem. Hello effortless weight loss!
#4 – Headaches
Another very common sign that a body cleanse is the best course of action is headaches and migraines. Often dehydration is the root cause – getting your 8 x 8oz glasses in, each and every day will go a long way when it comes to banishing that debilitating pain.
#5 – Mood Swings
I believe a good clean diet and a clean way of living is just as important for our mental wellness as it is for our physical wellbeing.
The amount of potential toxins coming from our environment, food and lifestyle choices just can’t be ignored if we hope to thrive in our modern world.
All these toxins eventually reach our brain where they cause no-end of havoc to our moods and sense of wellness. Mood swings, anger and depression can all be alleviated by following a detox diet.

#6 – Indigestion
One of the classic signs that a body cleanse is due, is weak intestinal health – indigestion, gas or bloating. Our gut is hugely sensitive to our mood and toxins in our diet.
When the balance of the “good” and “bad” bacteria gets out of whack we suffer abdominal discomfort and weak digestion.
When we ditch the junk-food and embrace a detox way of living, it’s like magic … bye-bye pain and suffering, hello health and happiness.
#7 – Low Energy
When everything seems to be a huge effort and we just don’t have the energy to do anything – a cleansing approach to living is a must.
Toxins in our body sap us of our life-force. They require so much effort to eliminate from our system, leaving us weak and listless.

#8 – Trouble sleeping
I’m not talking about the occasional night of disturbed sleep due to some external event. I’m referring to frequent substandard sleep patterns and insomnia eating away at our mental and physical wellbeing.
Good sleep hygiene is essential to health as it’s while we slumber that we cleanse the most. Skimping on or just not being able to sleep is a detox disaster and a good sign you should follow a cleaner lifestyle.
Once we realise our poor health is a result of poor choices and other options are available – we can start to change our day-to-day habits, adding in more detox friendly choices.
We need to change our mindset and style of living too if we are to prosper and achieve long lasting weight loss! I’m not talking about a 1–day or 10–day juice cleanse or the like.
I’m talking about a “daily detox” lifestyle change – transforming your life on a much deeper level. Once you make the shift you won’t recognise yourself and will wonder why you ever accepted poor health as inevitable.
